Middle managers traditionally make up the thickest layer within organizations. Middle managers are responsible for taking care of both their superiors and their subordinates. Therefore, in order for organizations to perform effectively, middle managers need to fulfill many responsibilities and will thus need strategies for gaining cooperation from a variety of people. Creating a high-performance organization will be easier and communication within organizations will be smoother if middle managers have leadership skills regardless of the organization’s size or type of business.
